People nowadays are buying shoes online, sight unseen. Those shoes are made of inferior plastics with foam soles that don't last more than 6 months. Quality rubber soles will last much longer than plastic foam soles. Don't waste your money folks.

One thing I found really unnerving lately on WhatsApp is being put into what I call ‘phish groups’ where my account is thrown into a group that is not of my choosing. They are pretty easy to delete and remove yourself but gosh darn it it’s irritating.

Yes I agree. I believe manufacturers should be responsible for the recycling of the products they make & use. Yes, single use plastics are the problem. Example: Laundry detergent bottles could be refilled at stores. We can refill water bottles with purification dispensers. Many solutions like 304ss

Materials cost is just one factor, but ultimately, the for-profit-healthcare system started during the President Nixon Administration is to blame. Prior to Nixon, USA Healthcare was non-profit. No other country in the world follows the USA Healthcare model. Plastics allow much higher profits.
