Hmm. Fair enough! I don't know that I really disagree with anything you've said, even if I might frame it differently. Legitimate question: in your eyes, what does the US do *better* than peer governments? Free speech comes to mind, what else?

We seem to be better at federal regulatory policy, ironically, despite all the problems with how we've constitutionalized it (ie incompletely and haphazardly). The EU and its member states have really wacky regulatory policy that fairly often tends towards luddism and degrowtherism.
