SML is a quintet from Chicago, and my Feature Pick this week.

Their debut album, Small Medium Large was recorded live as long form improvisations and edited and rearranged into thirteen tracks. Mind blowing.

Asher White is a Singer-Songwriter from Rhode Island that’s been active for about 10 years.

Her new album is Home Constellation Study, and it is kitchen-sink production, with White playing many instruments, including Mellotron, banjo,glockenspiel and piano.

Lil Yachty’s 2023 album got the attention of UK Producer James Blake, which resulted in the two of them joining up to work together.

The resultant Bad Cameo utilizes Yachty’s Auto-tuned vocals along with Blake’s Deep-Bass production with winning effect.

GAF & The Love Supreme Arkestra lives on the Jazz-adjacent spectrum, and their second album Ganzfeld combines brass, woodwinds, synths, strings and percussion on nine tracks. Glorious ear candy.
