I don't know why they choose the fence. Sometimes in full sunlight. Maybe they catch a little breeze. Maybe it's safer because it's elevated. But didn't seem like the coolest spot.

I now have granite slabs in the chinchilla cage because it’s a safe way to help them cool off. Squirrels should learn!
