70+% of the public have concerns about his age. This problem existed well before the times went off the deep end. His poor poll numbers, including him running well behind his democratic senate peers, speaks to this fact. The times sucks, but they aren’t the sole cause of his woes.

I think the idea that this has been trumped up by the media, and the New York Times in particular, is not credible tbh. No one I know, reader of the times or not, saw the debate and thought he looked well. Many people have reasonable concerns about his ability to win and his ability to govern.
