I think they should cut all the funding to rural areas, which the urban areas pay for, to provoke a debate about the actual sensible and fair policy. What a load of horseshit that they get nothing.

We absolutely shouldn’t do that, but we also need to stop acting like rural voters are somehow more worthy of our attention. The fact that rural voters are moving away from Democrats has a lot to do with race and other cultural issues and pretending that it’s solely an outreach issue is unhelpful
