Most of the hand-wringing I’ve seen relates to the fact that the Labour landslide actually netted fewer raw votes than Labour did in 2019, so their incentives are either a) continue to drive down participation rates; or b) get walloped in turn in 5 years when voting rates normalize.

Probably? Possibly? But would these people prefer they didn't win? When it's literally less than 24 hrs after winning and they are like "In 5 years this may be real trouble" and "this winning platform isn't everything in the platform I wanted" that's unhealthy
