I’ve been kissing democracy goodbye for as long as I’ve been old enough to understand and be aware of politics. I hate to say it but having a two party system is ultimately what has fucked us over. Our options would be more than just two people every time if it wasn’t for the two party system. At

least then there’s maybe a chance that there’s SOMEONE in that pool who isn’t driven by power and money. George Washington wasn’t a great person, but he was right about political parties being a bad idea. Sure, that wouldn’t be the ultimate fix but things would be different.

no, electoral college is what fucked us. maybe multiparty would help but look at Europe right now. i suppose it's saved some elections but not all.
