Palmy-specific, but the Manawatu Multicultural Council would absolutely help out with this sort of thing. Is there an equivalent organisation you can talk to where you are?

We're a natuonal org so the more all over the country the better (although full disclosure, Ōtepoti where I am is very well represented 😬).
