I played a couple of sessions of WHFRP, and that was pretty amazing. The "stance" mechanic just pushes you into attempting wacky bullshit. Helped that I picked up someone else's thief character close to the end of his character track so the idea of "social climbing by stealth" was right there.

Also our power system was originally built when power was nationalised across the whole county, so it's built with that kind of interconnectivity in mind. We do have private power companies but they all buy power off each other and resell it so it's a weird kludge.

My best headcanon for midichlorians in specific is that they don't cause Force powers but are a reliable proxy for them. Like, maybe they're parasite organisms that feed on the Force somehow and thus colonise the bodies of Force users?
