They breed almost all the year round. Sometimes there’s a terrific clatter when they lose their balance while mating, and nearly fall out of the tree. I have been known to mutter, literally,“f*cking pigeons - again” when they startle me

Ours are mainly wood pigeons and they're rather lovely. If they could just shut up at times. They usually perch on things in pairs, and just coo. But when they get vocal, boy do they get vocal. Then there are the frogs in next door's pond. Mostly, it's all lovely but now and then, it's LOUD.
