He comes to nuzzle against my hand when I’m pulling stuff up, then starts eating some of the grass I was about to yank out. He doesn’t eat borage, though I’ve got enough to flavour all the Pimms in Henley

It’s certainly a period I don’t know enough about.
Interesting sidelight: Maillezais abbey, once huge, wealth and very impressive, is just down the road from me. It’s twinned with Glastonbury abbey (once ditto), and it’s just down the road from my daughter’s home. Now two ruins, hauntingly similar.

Stop confusing me. The only thing I’m sure about is that because he was also Comte de Foix, the co-rulership of Andorra passed to the crown (and later to the President). On the Spanish side, the co-prince is still the bishop of Urgell

Big gamble if so. But I certainly don’t think they’re ready for power (never mind fit for it)

Then he’s a twat. Certainly the EU has moved on since Brexit, but it would transform our trade, enhance education, science, adherence to environmental rules, improve our cultural links. And boost the economy, which is his avowed aim.

A recent poll puts the LibDems at just 3 seats behind the Tories.
3 seats!
Check the tactical voting sites. And if you’re in a constituency where the LibDems have the best chance of beating the Tories - vote LibDem.
Imagine a Labour government with a LibDem opposition.
What a game changer!

I have a pond too. There are only 2-3 frogs but boy are they loud. Nobody has complained as far as I know, but I can always argue that it’s part of what you should expect in the country (like cockerels and church bells). And we’re supposed to be protecting biodiversity

They breed almost all the year round. Sometimes there’s a terrific clatter when they lose their balance while mating, and nearly fall out of the tree. I have been known to mutter, literally,“f*cking pigeons - again” when they startle me

This is getting ridiculous - how can Farage constantly get airtime with no one pointing out to him & viewers the Brexit he championed has by almost every economic & financial measure been disastrous for the UK?
