Considering you're quite consistent in quality and themes, being surprised that a story of yours is messed up means they didn't read much of yours before that. Ghosts, gruesome deaths, messed up families, mithologies... Those are recurring themes (that's why I climbed on the ride, anyways).

It would also be unfair not to mention that in almost every book there are these wonderful, selfless and kind people who help others without expecting anything in return. Sometimes they're pirates, and sometimes just regular people. And that's also why I am along for the ride.
