The Boys does get a tad on the nose. It comes from an admirable dedication to satirizing human dregs who are so satire-proof that often it instead verges on parody. But that's a reason for more butthole stuff, not less. It's not like we get much butthole stuff elsewhere in pop culture. Unfortunately
A lot of people seem to view subtlety as an inherent virtue, but I maintain that sometimes, rubbing your point in people's faces so hard that you're scraping the skin off their nose is a perfectly legitimate storytelling choice.
Especially since some people will STILL miss the point
