I've honestly heard this a lot about people on the ace spectrum--enjoying fictional erotica and kink but not as much with another person irl. I think that the fictional aspect allows them to explore kinks they like without the need to be attracted to a person. I for instance think I'm grey ace at-

least, I do often crave having a partner but a lot of my enjoyment has always been fictional. I don't particularly like the thought of penetrative sex irl either, mainly kink. So much so in fact that though I'm gay, I would likely engage with kink with women without a romantic or sexual attachment!
