We dont tend to see people going out their way to find it. Its inevitable you will have instances where reviewers know the papers but its no where near the majority of times

You gotta actually search for the preprint if you haven’t seen it before…which…effort A lot of times we frame the situation by what we do, but don’t ever underestimate the barrier that a little extra effort creates on the whole
