Saw a 140ft tall Goddess of Mercy today. It was very impressive. There was also some nice cherry blossom, although it was still a day or two from full bloom. #cherryblossom #sakura #japan #さくら

My in-laws live in Gunma, renowned for its hot-spring towns and resorts. It's home to this most iconic of Onsen, as it's believed to have been a strong influence on the visual design of the bath-house in Spirited Away. We were in the area so popped by today for a look. #spiritedaway #studioghibli

Found the most amazing, authentic bit of 80s, vaporwave aesthetic at a hotel in Kawaguchi, near Mount Fuji today. Sadly the pool was closed, so I had to settle for this photo through the window. Would have loved to get a closer look.

I like this! I think I'll borrow this for when I'm teaching. My students 15-18yrs, keen, capable, but daunted by notions of the "content creation" grind and feeling like they constantly need to be being creative for social media, etc.

Last couple of years, I felt myself slowing right down, taking longer to get going in the mornings, mentally slower, physically weaker, etc... Had a load of tests. All was well. I asked if there was any possible explanation. Doctor said "you're not 21 anymore" 🤣 🤷🏻‍♂️
