There actually has been a very strong ideological shift within our most sovereign institutions over the course of our lifetimes that has led to them leveraging the law so that corruption is legal and enabled them to feed into their most authoritarian impulses over the table without fear of reprisal.

Agree. And a lot of it is being *formalized* in the past two weeks by the Supreme Court. Classic "society in decline" stuff.

In “We the Corporations,” Winkler walks through conservative courts giving immortal entities rights of individuals, which gets you perversity of Citizens United, etc. Now individual who got power through unlimited money tap, appoints judges saying THAT individual is untouchable since all is official
