It is primarily Flour, sugar, baking powder, usually milk or heavy cream. Please use a recipe from a Japanese, Okinawan, or Hawaiian cook. So you end up with a Sata Andagi that my ethnicity eats & enjoys.

Thank you. I found one where the author says it comes from her grandmother, and it shows a few ways to drop the dough into the fat. One where you hold it in a wet hand and squeeze it out between thumb and forefinger, the other where you use a small scoop. Does that sound right to you?
