/a small flashgun, specifying a PC connection (OM-2 with no hot shoe). Flashgun arrived, and it was hot shoe only, so I had to buy something on the drive there, and ended up with a wee unit that did the job, but I hated the results. Noticed they're using one as a FB profile pic. Terrible, innit?

It's a bit over-exposed, though I've seen worse. You were disadvantaged by the size of the unit and not having time to work with it beforehand. In studio I'm all manual, but for run-and-gun flash I'll use TTL, preferably with off-camera flash. On my Fujifilm gear, I underexpose 1/3 stop from auto.
