How is it logical? How does a failed convention and loss to Trump in the fall further the DSAs policy interests?

I think the key word there is policy. If Trump is elected, I’ll admit that DSA membership & dues will grow, so they are following their institutional interest (which is contra most Americans’ material interests)

It would likely get some people to move further to the left and strengthen the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.
