When I worked in the tropics I used to put a coat on if the temperature started with a 2 😂 now it gets above 10 and I just stop functioning

When I was a teenager, my dad worked in southern Iran. One evening around xmas -78, my sisters and I played football with some of the local kids. It was 14°C. We wore t-shirts and shorts. The local kids wore sweaters and long trousers. I was amazed by how differently temperatures were perceived.

it’s amazing how you acclimate to stuff. when i was living in chicago, by february, it would get to -7 and i’d think “downright balmy!” and unzip my jacket. today’s a bit hot though but fortunately lots of fans as well as air conditioning
