The Chinese, Russian and French revolutions definitely resulted in a more peaceful society. They were imperfect, and their failures should be critiqued and highlighted, but it's ridiculous to compare to the cruelty that existed before.

i think part of the disconnect here is that a lot of Americans often don’t understand the history of these countries before their revolutions & how abysmal the material conditions were. that’s a shame because having that context makes it a lot easier to understand why certain mistakes happened.
