Dog owner life hack I'm sure others have thought of, If you forget your portable bowl, a dog bag works great in a pinch AND can be used to carry water from a park fountain around on hot days.

Romay Johnson Davis was the oldest surviving member of the “Six Triple Eight,” the only predominantly Black unit of the Women’s Army Corps to serve overseas during World War II. Davis died June 21 in Montgomery, Ala.
She was 104.

Just a heads up, some dogs ( rescues especially or herding) are super triggered by someone or something looking them directly in the eyes. Maybe try to avoid eye contact, look at it's tail?
