Thanks. They've been good for everything else, I was just delaying physio on the hip because I'm sick of physio, been for back, neck, knees & feet so far π.
Hope you can get some sleep, far too late/early to be up.

Ok, so painsomnia means that swimming planned for the morning is out. Guess it's time to start that physio routine I found online. I managed to get sleep 3 nights in a row this week, so that was an improvement!

Ah, thank you, you're very kind. I do love a spot o'natural light photography. Which is just as well because I couldn't use artificial light if my life depended on it π

@sadknob.bsky.social I haven't got round to digging out the pet photography you asked me about. But this is a small sample of work I did for a friend's wedding.

Yep. I'm diagnosed as combined, moderate to severe. I got too good at internalising the hyperactivity and burnt out in my mid 20s, never recovered.

I made another mark. White paper this time, it was black last time. I prefer working up from black paper but need to play about a bit. Hyperfocus making me forget to eat or pee lead to some overworking at the end. Always a risk for me π¬.
It's a learning curve.

I wasn't diagnosed until I was 50. Then I realised why I hadn't been able to sit the written parts of my A levels. 2hrs in a silent gym full of other students, writing & breathing π¬. I always wondered why I excelled at exams based on coursework & sucked at sitting exams.

I'm sorry it's affecting you both so badly. It's so hard to get people to go to therapy when they'd rather avoid. Your dad probably would benefit from bringing his general stress load down so he's less reactive to the smaller triggers.

The old verbal stim to relieve pressure. My partner used to do it in our early days, I didn't know it was a stim & regrettably asked him to stop because it was so jarring for me (cptsd). I apologised once I learnt it was a stim & told him to start again if he needs. Still feel guilty about that π³ π

I also sat with my leg beneath me, had the chair on two legs, wore holes in my jumper sleeves & chewed every pencil & pen top I had. Because i was strimming like fuk to be able to concentrate, without even knowing it. Until I burn out.
ADHD is not always obvious, especially in girls.

Oh, and for those who don't know. It's not unusual for adhd girls to be very quiet in childhood. I was, I hyper-focused in class and any exams I got, I got without revising, because I couldn't revise.

I had ADHD 30yrs ago, I just wasn't diagnosed. My father was born in 1939 & clearly had adhd. People are stupid.

I was going to suggest you shout at them to let a little air out of the tyres if they couldn't get it shifted. Glad they got sorted though.

Took a reasonable brain chemistry dip this morning. Put on some funk, tidied some clutter, experimented with some art techniques, ate some protein & took dexamphetamine. Feel marginly better now π

Little timer bottle for the #adhd med. I cannot impress on you how excited I am about these bottles. No more undermedicating because I forgot to write down med times. Much lower risk of overdose. Genuis little things β€οΈ

I'm going tomorrow to look at a second pram for the dog, to keep in Mr R's car. This may be getting out of hand.
The dog sees no problem with this development.

Crazy levels! My first reading this afternoon was 135/70, which is a fair difference to the following ones. When I get it done in the clinic they take it as soon as I sit down and get a higher reading.
Do you know what's causing yours to be high?

It was a little higher before starting hrt. I'm fortunate enough that, despite all the inactivity and exercise intolerance, my heart is in reasonable order. I put it down to a mostly vegan diet offsetting things positively.

Thanks! My bp was 106/62 when I took the med at 12.30 and it was 117/66 at 3.30, think that can be counted as a success. It is a really low dose, but good to know that my system won't go haywire on 5mg π

Trying out a new adhd med today. Last one gave me tachycardia and turned my insides to lava, hot burning lava. Having medication sensitivity is sometimes a literal pain in the hole.
Pray for me frens.

Have you looked at flare audio? Their earshade plugs cut out up to -31db. I tried them a few years ago and didn't like them because they cut out more noise than I wanted. I think they do a 100 day return policy too.

Is it worth trying the switch? They should give you your money back on the Experience.
Mr R has good bluetooth ones, if you want the name of them. He finds the noise cancelling really good on them. They're just over Β£100 on Amazon atm.
