I was briefly on the jury trying the officers who beat Rodney King. They knew I was a journalist. The judge asked me if I planned to write a book about it. Honestly, I hadn’t thought of it, but he planted a seed! 🤔Turns out, I was kicked off and my replacement was the 12th juror.
