the flip side is, at least according to demographic projections, not to mention the intractability of the GOP, it's more and more white Republican voters spread out over more and more land in more states with tiny populations, so it gets harder and harder to keep the Senate. but again: crisis first

I'll admit Allred seems like a stretch. But, possible. I'm not, like, saying we get 60 seats, or anything. Mostly yeah I would not like a fascism right now please and thank you.

I'm not optimistic, I'm just saying it's within the range of plausible scenarios. Obviously the first concern is keeping Trump out at all costs. But, oddly enough, the swing state Dem incumbents seem to have been polling consistently better. The GOP picked a bunch of REAL lemons.
