I should look that up. I find him fascinating - he’s clearly very likeable, and I think quite sincere, but he is both a politician and someone who seems broadly uninterested in stories at which he personally isn’t in the dead centre.

I'd really recommend it (the book). Informed quite a bit of my Captain Carter series. The chapter on him is about his book on his time in Afghanistan and very astute about how he presents himself (and Britain).
