As a big Elden Ring fan, Zullie’s videos have been informative on both the technical and expository aspects of ER (along with the rest of From’s games). I’ll be looking forward to playing ER and SotE dlc for the first time once it goes on sale.

I remember there being a ton of discussion during the 360/PS3 era about Nintendo needing to ‘toughen up’ and stop making ‘kiddy’ games. For better and worse, they don’t critically listen to external voices. They just make the games they want and it’s enough for most people.

The point of Link being a kid and fighting monsters is to deliver on a child’s dream of “going on an adventure”. Same with Dragon Quest or Pokémon. I doubt a Zelda game will see Link older than 16 because the point is that he’s a nobody kid who has the courage to face evil when no one else will.

I’d personally feel surprised if she was good. Maybe she is in the sense that she’s trying to stop Death from killing humanity (if that’s what Death actually wants… we only hear that Death is bad from Fami), but it is still unclear. But I can say that anyone who employs Barem sucks eggs, though.

Nintendo is flawed. They have certainly done less to support fan works and tourneys. Their online experience is lacking and you could make the case their hardware is as aged as their philosophies. But they make good games, large and small titles with solid gameplay, also, invest in their workers.

I’m pretty sure those series of flashbacks about the early days of raising her was to imply that Pochita made the correct assessment at the end of Part 1. Without intervention, the Control Devil would remain the same, yet Denji raising her with love allowed her humanity. To even oppose Fami.

I’m not sure about Makima as I assume she’s using contracts to negate and heal dmg. There’s nothing that confirms the Horsemen can survive complete dismemberment on their own. Also are the Horsemen still Fiends or what? Yoru technically revives Asa, but idk if that’s just a one time thing.

There are some great theories that Pochita is a devil that represents the fear of life. That by consuming a devil, he removed its life and impact on living beings. Hand-crank chainsaws were used in c-section procedures at one point.

We know that’s what Power and the Bat Devil did, but Kishibe made a point to say Power could only heal to an extent. Yoru would’ve repaired Asa’s body if she could, but that’s not the case so far. And Makima always transferred injuries. Only hybrids seem to be inherently immortal.

CSM 170 Ugh, it might happen again. Pochita might have to step in. One neat thing Barem says is the 2nd explicit mention of Pochita’s power to erase the concepts he consumed. He even theorizes Pochita ate all other possible uses for chainsaws. Did Pochita willingly erase his true identity?

Wow, I really have to read the Twilight Princess manga. This page made me emotional. The mangaka really understand how to tie the greater events of the story into emphasizing how precious Link and Midna’s relationship is. It’s not a novel kind of development, but I’m glad it’s here.

Even with more time at the jail you wouldn’t necessarily have forward momentum for the Prophecy or the greater plot. Things feels slow due the focus is on Fami whittling down Denji and Asa’s emotional state It’ll work out in the end, but it’s not as straightforward as the Gun Devil and Assassins.

My approx. $1200 PC built several years ago can still play games released today, albeit at lower settings. Idk about gfx cards/mobo/etc. prices but time really is your friend when it comes to buying parts. Especially when new PC games can get discounted 6-12 months after release. Or 🏴☠️lol

As gross as Funko and Just Dance is to sit through, they’re there because they will sell or were buying ‘ad space’ on the Direct (idk if that’s a thing). Unless the Direct ends up consisting of mostly shovelware, it doesn’t bother me much in the long run.

It’s a very Nintendo thing to focus on giving games a sense of individuality and I think that’s what they wanted here rather than have her use Link’s typical move set. I’m optimistic about the system and think you can still have the expected action elements in a Zelda game here as well.

I don’t believe that this is a pared down Zelda game just because Zelda isn’t using a sword, shield, and various items. This Echo system simply obfuscates traversal and combat by giving the player flexibility. Minish, Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and LBW are considered “full” Zelda games.

Nintendo has gotten comfortable with their staff having a say in what’s made seeing how Splatoon made a huge splash. A Zelda game adapting TOTK’s system in a controlled 2D game world was probably an idea thrown out too. Some more discerning people have said MP4 still looks like it runs on Switch

TOTK relies on players to create their own machines for problem-solving and traversal, EoW is asking players to do the same with an easier system and less resources to manage. Spawning objects and enemies is free but they’ll disappear after a time. I’m looking forward to how it’s implemented.

Lmao at people trying to call this a spin-off, too. Like Nintendo still made room for 2D Zelda games even after OOT. I think these people are just mad they can’t have easy fights and traversal methods. It’s just obfuscated behind the Echo system. Also good on Nintendo for actually experimenting.

I bought the collectors edition myself and had a blast building up towns and recruiting all sorts of fun characters. I’ve still got a couple regions to liberate, but I’m happy with what I’ve played so far. I wouldn’t be surprised if Fire Emblem takes a few cues from here.

I’m happy to see Samus return, but I’m blown away by the new Mario & Luigi RPG. It’s a great looking translation of the art style to 3D. I’m not current with the news, but I thought Alpha Dream was simply shuttered and left to the wind. I guess Nintendo absorbed their staff?
