One thing to bear in mind: the distance hints seem to based on capital cities, or geographic centers. For example, if the pic shows something in Canada, and your 1st guess is USA, it will say you're off my thousands of kilometers, even though they're adjacent countries. Good luck!

Ah! That makes more sense now. I kept thinking - it’s not THAT far away. But if it’s measurements between capital cities, then yes. Thank for the hint!
