So here's a weird thing. UK elections are on July 4th, US Independence Day. US elections are on Nov 5th, the anniversary of Guy Fawkes' failed attempt to blow up the English parliament. Any good conspiracy theories out there....?

Does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? π€

Many people have argued that, in the decades since he sang "God Save The Queen", Mr. Lydon has lost the plot.
I won't argue with many people.
But as decent voters in the UK finally bin the Tories, let's all remember #AngerIsAnEnergy

One thing to bear in mind: the distance hints seem to based on capital cities, or geographic centers. For example, if the pic shows something in Canada, and your 1st guess is USA, it will say you're off my thousands of kilometers, even though they're adjacent countries.
Good luck!

The melody is older than Bach. The lyrics are by Paul Simon. But Boutte's version best captures the mood of this bittersweet day.

Tangent, but you said you're from Louisiana originally?
A lot of my Nola friends make a big deal of insisting on "street cars", and dismissing "trolley" as the mark of a transplant.
But I think that's a rather recent distinction? Earlier New Orleanians seem to use both terms interchangeably.

I'm a brain doc (Consultation-Liaison psych).
For *years* Trump's shown uninterrupted, increasingly severe cognitive symptoms: he's incapable of linear thought at baseline.
Whatever disrupted Biden's linear thought in the debate is at worst intermittent.
Bonus: he's not an overt fascist.

...hanging out *with* Kathy, LOL.
(I guess that could be considered a Freudian slip. I voted for her, but have really grown to destest her in the last 6 months or so!)

IIRC, Until (relatively)recently, they also had "trackless trolleys" running out to Watertown and Belmont.

Really? I never heard that, despite growing up in the 617.
Not doubting you...but it's still wild to reflect Boston used to have a rum industry.
