So, 1st post about my cats, the crowd goes wild. 2nd post about how I've almost beaten lung cancer, *crickets* Still learning. In the meantime, please enjoy a pic of my now deceased Lulu. She did not like having to wear a cone and had no problem destroying you because of it with her cuteness.

At the end of 3 years, which will be in August of this year, if I continue to show no evidence of disease, I will be considered "cured," and come off the meds. Both my parents died of lung cancer so I had NO IDEA something like this was possible!

Since then, I have been lucky enough to benefit from targeted therapy. A pill, Tagrisso, I take every day that helps my body learn to rewrite the bad coding I inherited since it turned out to be genetic.

I did and that's when they found it. A PET scan confirmed it and at 41, during COVID, I was suddenly planning to go into major surgery. 6/10/21 I had my lower left lobe removed. The cancer has started to metastasize into the lining of my lung so that bumped me up to stage 1B NSLC Exon 19 deletion

I have lung cancer. It was caught by accident after a CT scan I had done cause I was having cramps outside of my menstrual cycle. They found a nodule and since I had at one point, along with everyone else in my orbit, been a smoker, they said to come back in a year and have another CT scan.
