I was in a similar position. Go in with COVID, or lose £100 a day if I stayed off. I decided to take the loss but caved in after 3 days and went back in to work. Luckily I don't think I passed it on to anyone else, or if I did they were asymptomatic.

Not to mention the fact that the more times you get covid the more likely you will end up permanently disabled. We still know very little about the long term effects of even one infection (eg. increased risk of stroke in later years)

I understand the 'I will lose my house' angle for sure, but the idea of passing it to someone else who might then come into contact with someone vulnerable and still needing to isolate is awful. The government needs to make isolating mandatory and guarantee pay.
