Last time I went in, it was just the back corner, and it was mainly games that you know are going to sell like D&D, Alien, Dune, etc. I actually applied to be a manager there in 2019 and never heard back from them (their TTRPG section would be a national treasure if I'd got it).

Element Games is my closest FLGS and I'm not even sure they stock TTRPG's anymore. Last time I went in I think there were 5 books.

I am more than happy to support FLGS where I can, but getting some of them to special order TTRPG's that don't have a glowing red "&" on the cover is difficult. My friend also doesn't have a FLGS to order from. It feels like a really restrictive policy when getting these books can be hard enough.

Bought a copy of A|State 2nd Ed today from Zatu, only to be told I don't get a copy of the PDF because I didn't buy from a bricks and mortar store, and Zatu are a "deep discounter". My friend went to order from a B&M's online site, which still wouldn't be eligible as it wasn't purchased IN store.

Yeah that's pretty messed up. We knew that someone had died in our house as it had been in my family for 40yrs, and we've all had strange experiences there since my grandad died. Annoyingly, we moved in to another house that seems to have weird goings on, and someone has also died here.

I lived in a house that some people would consider haunted for 8yrs. Slamming doors, TV would turn on in the night at full volume, strange sounds, cats freaking out at nothing, pretty sure I was someone walk between rooms one day. It was interesting, but I'm not sure I believe it was ghosts.

and if the people I'm trying to protect aren't bothered about it, it makes it harder to justify. I told my boss I had it and to not come near me, and he just sat down and went "it's just a cold". Not sure how to come back from that really.

Yeah, it's not a decision I made lightly or wanted to do, but I can't feed myself and my family on doing the right thing unfortunately. I isolated as much as I could, and masked up AND asked others to do the same but it was generally met with a shrug

I was in a similar position. Go in with COVID, or lose £100 a day if I stayed off. I decided to take the loss but caved in after 3 days and went back in to work. Luckily I don't think I passed it on to anyone else, or if I did they were asymptomatic.

I feel like Disney has a bit of Sandbox Paralysis where they have these big toys to play with and they don't really know what to do with them both. Marvel because they did so well with it, and Star Wars because they seem to keep swinging and missing(I am generally enjoying the SW output)

I think them moving out of the Empire era is a great move, and I think THR is a good place to go to, but I don't feel like this is the story to introduce this setting to the people who haven't consumed all the books and comics

I'm caught up on The Acolyte. It's not doing anything particularly wrong at the moment, but it's definitely skipped over some potential. It's weird as it kind of has me pining for long series TV like voyager where characters could breathe a bit rather than racing between scenes.
