The only explanation that I can muster is that the libs legitimately believed that the average voter hadn't yet noticed his cognitive decline and they were mad at anyone to the left of Donald Trump for pointing it out. But now their deep, dark secret has been exposed, so it is time to panic.

Thats part of it. Have you ever met over educated wealthy liberals? They hate more than anything, looking bad and if Biden makes them look bad the deals off.
