I have such fond memories of Pine Crest summer day camp. We were the Little Kahunas and I dressed up as Dracula for the wax museum. Like, why WOULDN'T I enjoy the camps?

My grandpa survived an actual camp, and there’s also people that my family doesn’t know what happened to them in the Holocaust. They disappeared. I HATE how casual and comfy people are with “enjoy the camps.”

I have not encountered one so far that has been a prison abolitionist. Or one that could articulate what would be different from a prison, or existing border camps, or Guantanamo, or Homan Square. They seem to just relish the ideas of punishment and suffering as a response to all disagreements.
