When people were pointing out that the NYT was actively cheerleading Israel's genocide of Palestinians, several people said that this wasn't the case. Now some of these same people are witnessing their full court press to get Biden to step down and this is legible to them. What gives?

Defending racism is a part of racism. Zionism is racism. Wanting to be the dominant political party based on votes from Black people can also be racism. The NYT is racist.

American liberals (some, certainly not all maybe not most, but the more money/status you got...) aren't scared about Palestinians' fate, even if they don't like it, so it's easy to choose a less bad interpretation and not look at the truth. But this week has genuinely made them feel unsafe at home.
