Tina Turner had a combination of medical conditions including kidney disease, intestinal cancer, a stroke and PTSD. She was an icon and disabled. She said that her kidney condition went undiagnosed in the U.S. for years due to medical racism. She received a life-saving transplant from her husband.

A kidney function test that is inaccurate for Black people CAUSES disability. And I had to block someone on here saying that Black activists don't fight for disabled people. Wtf? Black people ARE disabled too, but disability work often looks like race stuff to "mainstream" disability people.

What's wild is that researchers identified physiologic differences based on genetics in humans, and when research was largely only male/Caucasian corrected this by individualizing research to many demographics. To say race is ONLY social construct is incorrect, we must identify physiology variances.

Never forget: she was also a victim of IKE, which probably favorised her ill health conditions. Drugged, beaten, black, TINA WAS 1 of THE 1ST who stood up for women's rights & against conjugal violence. She was the 1st who had the courage...
