Listening and reading along is the way. Dual-language texts (or if you can get text in first and second language) also makes it easier than stopping to look up words.

Since English text free at Gutenberg, etc., make your own dual-language version using two columns in Word...

They used to send a newsletter of the new audiobooks, and then lost the ability when the site got redone. Last I checked, they were still planning to bring that back⦠I loved those emails
