Conservatives Go to War — Against Each Other — Over School Vouchers
School choice advocates are intent on expanding the availability of vouchers to fund private education at the expense of public schools, but rural residents of these targeted states are putting up some of the strongest resistance.
These pro-voucher people were under the impression that this would only be deployed in cities with mostly black and brown students. Suburban and rural Americans otherwise like their public schools.
I guess they need lessons on how capitalism works.
It makes complete sense. Not only can most rural people not afford private schools (vouchers only cover a portion); there also very few if any private schools in rural areas.
