Also. Many of them are wrapped. So not sure how effective that would be. Really though, you just gotta wait in a maritime environment.

That's not a great idea down there. Sure it helps a lot as long as no pin holes develop. If they do, corrosion tends to go wild at that spot. It's why covering rebar with a coating is kind of a crap shoot.
