I can't remember in my entire lifetime any of the major media sources criticizing candidates or incumbents on virtues of what they're doing. "Read my lips" and "Potato" got more coverage than the fact Bush I was a fucking tire fire. This is just buffoonery. This is a self-important circus.

It ties back w/ what I remember one of those reporters or editors said a few days ago where they don't report Trump's lies or past behavior much anymore because "his voters don't care," but they'll report Dems' foibles because "Dem voters care." Just completely giving up at their jobs and it shows.

It's never about a President's actions or the result of their actions or even the process that leads to their actions. It's about vibes and image, how things "feel," what can be packaged into a soundbite no matter how inane or irrelevant. We live in a media kakistocracy and we always have.

If Wapo and the Times weren't fascist rags pining for a Trump administration they'd be giving his ties to Epstein a lot more scrutiny than Biden's debate performance.
