yes mask bans are motivated by surveillance. but to ridicule the claim that it’s also about further disappearing disabled people from public just shows me you haven’t cared about one ounce of the violence leveraged against disabled people the past four years

the pandemic isn’t over, the “end” of the pandemic is something they’re attempting to produce socially. having every day reminders that that production is farce in the form of masking neighbors is something eugenicists can’t abide

Ya but then you read something like this and wonder: if facial recognition tech can still ID someone wearing a mask—and they obvi know that—then what are the mask bans really about? Deterring people from protesting. Messing with democracy. Excluding certain people 🚫♿️ from public life.
