That said, the audio is incredibly garbled, the flight tracking incomplete, and footage is in the dark. The pilots of JL516 survived, and it seems that the pilot of JA722A is in critical condition but alive. The official investigation will let us know what happened here.

The ATC audio is hard to hear & the impacted plane had no ADS-B, but it seems like Coast Guard JA722A was cleared to taxi to either holding point C1 or C5, and for unknown reasons suffered a runway incursion at C5, as JL516 landed on runway 34R. Impact was at 08:47Z/17:47LT.

Horrifying seeing the runway collision at RTJJ Tokyo Haneda earlier today. Listening back all the public ATC recordings and the available ADS-B data to figure out as much of what happened as possible. Incredible work by the JAL A350 crew evacuating all passengers safely.
