Brother I’m in a place in my life where I don’t think depression will ever get “fixed”. That I think is a very unhelpful way to approach things. I think waffle is correct here, it’s destructive to indulge it, but man, there’s no exit window. You live with it.

You’re right, I can see how that would sound indelicate. What I mean: coping strategies that work and don’t add to the toil of other people are, for the purposes of the people around us, fixes. External description, not internal.
