It was the last time Britain managed to look like a progressive, 21st century country - global, friendly, inclusive, articulate, creative & open-handed. We had a functioning NHS! It’s enough to make you weep again - tears of sorrow & frustration. How far the country has fallen since Brexit.

I too look back at the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony as a peak moment of happiness (despite the bastards in government). Look at what they've done to the country since then.

Couldn’t agree more. 2012 we were a happy, optimistic country. The morale of Britain’s citizens is rock bottom with the self harm of Brexit & the corruption & ineptitude of these greedy Tories covering us in shame. Once the Augean Stables in Westminster are cleansed by the election, we will recover.
