There are some parts of this thread that seem to have gone far a field, hope you don’t mind if I offer some observations. Racism (as many other prejudices) predate the inception of this country. It’s core concepts transcending, though not necessarily how it’s executed. How we’ve come to know 1/

It, it is hierarchical with a capitalist twist. The greater perception, at least since the 1960s, being that the south is incurably racist and the north (east) is elitist and woke (the current pejorative meaning). When in many cases as much as southerners are obvious with their racism 2/
