For all the years I was among them, I foolishly thought that's what the GOP were about. I saw the truth before Trump was on the political scene. Been voting Democrat ever since for the sake of resistance. Bullshit is right. They are all about control.

I will vote a straight blue ticket regardless of who's at the top. Not because I'm a Democrat, but because as a recovering Conservative I see what the GOP has become. It is now a danger to the whole world.

One of the best writing instructors I ever had in college said, "The greatness of any story lies in the telling, not the narrative." This trend of dumbing-down great literature assumes the opposite. It's like repainting a Rembrandt with fewer brush strokes because the details are overwhelming.

The goal of the GOP is to eliminate public education altogether. To this end, they are trying to create an atmosphere that normal parents don't want to send their kids to. Banning books, persecuting LBGTQ students, arming teachers and incorporating religion all serve this purpose.
