it's my all time favorite game. i know how janky it is, i know how busted some of the mechanics are. it is, by all reasonable standards, a badly designed game. but i love it in spite of that, because i find there's still enough about it to enjoy. and it's perfectly cool for others to not like it

I don't think I played a Mana game I liked until the Trials of Mana remake. Everyone was busy memeing on the Charlotte baby voice to notice the good game underneath though.
