Have you tried Strange New Worlds yet? I found it the more enjoyable of the two and felt like an updating of the original rather than a ground-up reworking. I enjoyed Discovery, though, just preferred SNW.

Ditto. S2 of SNW was outstanding I thought. Especially Episodes 2, 4, 5 & 10. Top notch.
